As you have noticed, in all of the Periodic Transaction Line Item reports the date is truncated to MM/DD. This allows for (a bit) more financial information to be shown on each line of the report. The correct year of the transaction can usually be determined for fairly active tapes since the report comes out in chronological order. For tapes rented less than once or twice a year, you might have to run the report several times setting the date range filter to a specific year each time.
NOTE: If you are dealing with less frequently rented tapes, you can run the the reports with the date range filters set to screen and then add the full year to the final report that you send to your printer.
